COMMUNITY GIVE BACK

Smithbilt Industries is thrilled to announce our recent collaboration with the Polk County Bully Project (PCBP) to enhance their rescue efforts. As part of our commitment to community support, we have donated a shed that will significantly aid in their mission to rescue and rehome dogs in need.

The Polk County Bully Project is a foster-based non-profit rescue located in Lakeland, Florida. They have been instrumental in rescuing 67% of the dogs in Polk County, often operating over capacity. This has created a critical need for additional space to facilitate meetings between potential adopters and dogs, as well as perform basic medical procedures.

To meet these needs, Smithbilt Industries has donated and delivered an impressive 11 ft x 30 ft steel building, complete with a 6-foot porch, two full glass doors, and four windows. This new space will serve dual purposes:

• Office for Adopters: A welcoming area where potential adopters can meet and interact with dogs.
• Medical Room: A separate space for light medical procedures such as deworming and vaccinations.

Since their inception in 2019, the PCBP has rescued over 5,500 dogs, primarily focusing on bully breeds, including pit bulls. Their dedication to finding forever homes for these dogs is inspiring, and it heavily relies on community support.

The Toys for Tots program is a well-respected charity initiative organized by the Marine Corps Reserve. It aims to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. By doing so, the program hopes to deliver a message of hope to the children and help them experience the joy of Christmas.

Smithbilt Industries is proud to be a contributor to the Toys for Tots toy drive. The company believes in the power of community and is committed to supporting initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Smithbilt Industries participates in the “Fill the Shed” initiative, which is a part of the Toys for Tots program. The goal of this initiative is to collect enough toys to fill a designated storage shed with gifts for children who might otherwise go without during the holiday season.
